Latchkey (JES)

The Latchkey program is operated by the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center and licensed through the Ohio Department of Education. 

Jefferson Elementary Latchkey operates from 6:30 to 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM on days that school is in session. (For Rock Creek Elementary students wishing to use the Jefferson Elementary program, Jefferson provides a shuttle to and from Rock Creek Elementary. The bus leaves for Rock Creek around 8:15 and arrives back to Jefferson around 4:45 pm.)

Rock Creek Elementary Latchkey operates from 6:30-9:30 AM on days school is in session.  There is no afternoon care at Rock Creek Elementary, however, a shuttle is available to transport them to the Jefferson Elementary Latchkey after school if needed.)

On 2 hour delay days, we will operate on a delay as well opening at 8:30 am. (No breakfast is available at school on these days.) The center is closed on all days that school is not in session.

Our primary space is in the school library in both buildings. There is an annual registration and supply fee of $25.00 per family and the rate for care is $3.00 per hour. There is a minimum charge of 1 hour per session (AM/PM). Discounted rates for additional children may apply. Children must be registered in order to attend and spaces are limited.
